Hi again.

It’s been a minute.

Right now, I’m surrounded by snow. I mean, not literally. I’m inside my house. But around me?

Beautiful, pure, white.

I’ve taken this sleepy snow day to finish my latest book, Watch How We Grow. It’s a short poetry collection about the refining act of pruning we experience when in relationship with God, the ultimate Gardener.

Just click here to read and download for free.

I’m still working on Return to Me, my last book project for 2026. It’s shaping up to be a pretty interesting novella.

This blog is something I started for when that project is completed. I’d just like to “free write” for a bit and thought it would be fun to share a little with my readers again.

And by the way, if you’re receiving this in your inbox, your now one of 38 of us who can’t get enough of some random middle-aged woman talking about God and constantly losing her phone.

*It’s in her hand.*

I GREATLY culled my subscription list (yet again) to write to close family, friends, and writer/reader pals who have been with me for a LONG time. Thanks for your support, as always.

All right. Time to go snuggle up with a book and try to find my phone.

Oh wait. Here it is.

  2. I’m so glad to be a part of your thirty-eight. I love having your soul in my life! My favorite line: “No amount of Plath or Sexton or Camus or Beckett taught me to live, only to die . . . “

My favorite poem in this collection: Emptied Root

    1. Thank you, Anne! Same, friend! 🙂 I’m grateful for our email chats!

And yeah, it’s interesting being where I am in my faith and thinking how all those writers were looking for God even though they didn’t want Him. I’m just thankful He showed me truth, and I didn’t get stuck in that mess!
